Our Facilities

Our Premises

Our nursery is a purpose built building located in Thornton Heath 15 minute walk from the train station and on bus routes 250 and 450. The building is safe and secure and has security systems in place for added protection and safety. We also have a private outside play area.

The Baby Room – Three months to Eighteen Months Caterpillar Room

At the Little Saints we believe that babies are precious, they are given all the love needed throughout their day with us and they are nurtured. (For younger babies we follow their feeding and sleep routine).

The room is self-contained and well-resourced allowing the babies and younger toddlers to explore and discover their environment in safety which helps to develop their curiosity.

The Toddler Room – Eighteen Months to Three Years Old – Butterfly Room

Toddlers are like butterflies, they have come out of their cocoon and are free to explore and know the world around them and at Little Saints we encourage this natural instinct. Learning to communicate is a wonderful experience and our little butterflies are very expressive.

The Nursery – Two and a Half to Three and a Half Years

In our preschool are the children will begin to operate more independently and develop their own ideas and direct their own play. The children are given the opportunity and encouragement to use their skills in a range of situations and for a range of purposes. As children approach three years we start preparing them for the more formal learning process in the pre-school room.

The Pre-School – Three to Five Years – Ladybird Room

The preschool children are located at the far end of the building, this is where we work with your child to become more independent allowing them to develop their own ideas and interests. They learn to respect others, develop their social skills and have a natural instinct to learn.

This will be achieved through purposeful play which will be designed to be interesting and stimulating as well as cover the Early Learning Goals for the Foundation Stage. Your child will take part in a wide range of activities including Sand and Water play, Book corner, Writing and pencil control, Maths, Art and Crafts, Construction, Science, Role play and Music.
